I searched and searched until I found a quote that I am sure everyone can relate to. I am often the girl that lives by this and it has made my life so much easier. Let me break it down in each category in my life that I applied this quote for.

Friends: I have a very small circle of friends but I am sure that we all been through that phase where we had a lot of different people that we hung out with, but once I got older I started to eliminate people that were insignificant in my life. When I say insignificant I am referring to people that are negative, bad energy, say that they want you to do better in life but are secretly wishing that you would fail. Funny because as I am typing this I know that we all have people like this that are still in our lives and do you ask yourself why are they still there???? If you have to ask that the answer to this is to just #eliminate (trust me it is definitely worth it in the end)

Family: I know that everyone has their own feelings and beliefs that "blood is thicker than water" but for me I have mix feelings (I wouldnt get into) but when it comes to this one, I cant tell you time and time again how I have heard or even been in situations where family has been the ones to hurt you the most! I am sure some people can relate to this one as well.

Significant Others: Over the weekend the Fiance and I went to lunch and I have this habit  while we are waiting on our meals, I am usually surfing the web and reading the gossip blogs, two that I love are Necole Bitchie and Young Black & Fabulous and I came across the post about Meek Mills and his "baby mother" (hate this word) drama. Supposedly his sister had a few choice words for her on Instagram and they went back and forth. To make a long story short his sister was implying that he has a new girlfriend and she is better then her. The "BM" goes on to say that they would always be together. Moral of the Story "If you don't respect yourself then who would" I don't understand and never will why women stay with someone that is very disrespectful and has dissed you countless times in the media but you say you two are still together. #getyourlife LOL (Ladies know your worth!!!)

I could go on and on about other things in our lives work, school etc but you get my drift!!!!!

2. How many kids do you have? Caleb is 5 1/2 Noah is 3  (2boys)

3. Please explain your definition of a Fab Mom (can be anything
from how you are with the kids, family, fashion etc).  Well I believe a fab mom is a mom who is comfortable in her own skin, never being afraid to go against the norm and just be unique in her own way,  a woman whose house is clean bills are paid and children are feed ( home-cook meals, w/ the occasional fast food), educated ( don't leave it all up to the school), and looking their best (minus play time lol ) it bothers me when I see moms who are dressed to the T in the latest this, the latest that yet their kids are not "kept" ! etc etc

4.Who is your favorite celebrity mom? oh gosh I have sooooo many ... here is my top 5  1- Michelle Obama 2-Reese Witherspoon 3- Jennifer Garner 4- Katie Holmes 5- Jessica Alba

5. Who/What inspires you? CaNo hands down !!! CaNo is my name for both my boys Caleb & Noah ... these two along with my very supportive husband have been the driving force behind EVERYTHING I do , I want to give CaNo all that I never had and then some, I sacrifice alot for them but it is soooo worth it , they are my greatest investments!!

6.What advice can you give someone who is a mom and trying to get their sense of style back? haha im not the most stylish one in the bunch lol BUT I would say go for what you like then go for something completely out the box !!! YOLO :)

Alot of people don't know but I met this fab mom years ago on cafemom and although we aren't as close as we were at one point, she is still near and dear to my heart!! She is the best mom I know and she is a god fearing women, wife and just the best!! I learned a lot from her especially when I first became a mom and for that I thank you Kerry Berry xoxo.

How many kids do you have? Boy or Girl? One Boy Shemar

Please explain your definition of a Fab Mom (can be anything from how you are with the kids, family, fashion etc): My definition of a fab mom is someone who puts their kids need before their own, spend quality time with their child,and someone who teach their child how to be a good and respectful person.

Who’s your favorite celebrity mom? Sarah Jessica Parker

Who/What inspires you? My son inspires me everyday because i learn so much from him on how I can be a better mom to him!

What advice can you give someone who is a mom and trying to get their sense of style back? lol I say always be comfortable in what u wear and never try to be someone you are not. No matter where you are..movies,playground or at work you should always look your best!

Motivational Monday

I have been going through a lot lately, some good but some mostly annoying and frustrating! Which has led to me not posting as much as I should be and my drive for this blog has decreased significantly!! but as the weeks has gone by I have been getting better day by day and I am coming back full force to do what I love to do. Not only blog but just everything else in my life. I am moving officially in the next month (turning one of my rooms into a full closet) my daughter has settled into the kindergarten life and I have officially started planning my wedding. In between that I have been just home, catching up on t.v. thinking of where I want to go for my master's degree and just trying to put a smile on my face everyday even when I don't want to!!! I saw this quote and its nothing major but I just wanted to pass it on. This quote suits me because I am always striving for excellence or to be perfect and now that I am getting older, I now realize that I can't do it all, I can only do what I can to the best of my abilities and everything will fall into place.

For those of you who are going through your own struggles, look at this quote and know that you are doing all you can and everything will be fine xoxo

2. How many kids do you have? 2 Boy or Girl? Boy 7yrs, Girl 13yrs

3. Please explain your definition of a Fab Mom (can be anything
from how you are with the kids, family, fashion etc). A Fab Mom
understands how to walk the line of being fashionable & functional.
I'm a mom who needs to be able to go from the corporate world, to
chasing my son around a playground, to attending a mall "get-together"
with my daughter and her friends, and in the end still be sexy for my
husband.

4. Who’s your favorite celebrity mom? My favorite celeb mom is
Jada Pinkett-Smith. She's a total "Momma Bear" & a loving wife. She
supports her children no matter what & allows them to express
themselves.

5. Who/What inspires you? My children inspire me. Most recently,
my daughter inspired me to grow the relaxer out of my hair and rock it
natural. I see her confidence and I admire that. When she said that
she was proud of me for doing it, it melted my heart.

6. What advice can you give someone who is a mom and trying to
get their sense of style back? Don't feel bad about looking great!
Don't feel bad about taking a shopping trip WITHOUT picking up
something for the kids (and without them at all if possible, ha!). If
you have a new body that's post baby, take time to get to know it.
Find pieces that work for you and WERK them!! You'll look & feel
better for it.
